Founded in 1999 by Richard M. Fitzpatrick, a Force Recon sergeant with the US Marine Corps, Magpul has grown significantly over the years. The company’s name originated from its first product, the MagPul (Magazine Puller), designed to aid in pulling STANAG magazines from pouches.
