The Zaffiri Precision Side Ported Barrel for G43X is a compact aftermarket barrel built for Glock 43 and Glock 43X-compatible ported slide setups. The side-ported design separates this barrel from a standard flush-and-crown replacement barrel. Instead of keeping the muzzle closed or adding threaded length for an external compensator, the angled ports redirect gases laterally through compatible slide windows. When paired with the correct Zaffiri Precision ported slide, this setup helps reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil while keeping the pistol compact and non-threaded.
Zaffiri Precision machines this barrel from 416R stainless steel at its facility in Largo, Florida. The barrel is designed for consistent fitment with OEM and compatible aftermarket components, making it a strong upgrade for slimline Glock 43 and Glock 43X-style builds that need a ported performance setup without moving to a threaded compensator system.
Port alignment matters with this barrel. Zaffiri Precision specifies compatibility with Z Series Ported slides and legacy ZPS.4 and ZPS.P slide models, and port alignment/function are only guaranteed with compatible ported slide models. This is not the correct barrel for a standard non-ported G43/G43X slide, and it should not be installed in a slide that does not provide the proper port clearance.
Compared with a threaded G43X barrel, this Zaffiri Precision side-ported barrel keeps the front end shorter and avoids muzzle-device timing. Compared with an IBS chunk-ported barrel, it uses angled side ports rather than a top chunk-port system. It is best suited for Glock 43 and Glock 43X-compatible builds where compact carry dimensions, ported recoil management, and verified slide-to-barrel alignment are the priority.
