The Zaffiri Precision Side Ported Barrel for G17 Gen 5 gives compatible builds a clean stainless centerpiece backed by an integrated gas-management design. Angled ports machined into the sides of the barrel redirect expanding gases laterally through matching slide openings, helping control muzzle movement while preserving the standard-length profile of the Glock 17 platform.

The polished stainless finish puts the barrel’s machining on full display. When installed beneath a compatible windowed slide, the natural steel surface creates a sharp contrast against black, FDE, or other coated slide finishes without relying on a colored surface treatment. It is a strong choice for a build where the barrel is intended to remain visible as part of the overall upper design.

Side porting also provides a different approach than a threaded barrel and external compensator. The recoil-management system is contained within the barrel-and-slide arrangement, eliminating the added length of a muzzle-mounted device. This keeps the front of the pistol compact while supporting faster sight recovery and more controlled follow-up shots.
