The Toolcraft 458 SOCOM Bolt Carrier Group – DLC is a purpose-built, M16 full-auto profile BCG designed to meet the demands of large-bore AR-15 platforms chambered in 458 SOCOM. Made in the U.S.A. and protected by a no-questions-asked lifetime warranty, this BCG offers precision machining, premium materials, and a high-performance surface treatment built for durability and ease of maintenance.

The bolt is crafted from 9310 steel and shot peened for strength and reliability under heavy use. The carrier is machined from 8620 steel and includes a 4130 steel gas key secured with Grade 8 fasteners, all coated in a rugged Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) finish. This advanced surface treatment provides exceptional wear resistance, corrosion protection, and a Rockwell hardness rating of 90, making it one of the most resilient finishes available for bolt carrier groups.

DLC offers superior lubricity, operating effectively even in dry conditions, and significantly reduces carbon fouling buildup. This makes post-range cleaning easier, with most fouling wiping away cleanly using a dry cloth. The extractor is machined from 4140 steel and supported by a Mil-Spec O-ring and triple gas rings to promote consistent extraction and cycling performance.

Additional components include a 416 stainless steel firing pin, 8620 steel cam pin, and full MPI inspection of all critical parts to verify material integrity.
