The Timney R.E.D. Impact AR Trigger with curved shoe is a value-focused AR-15 trigger upgrade designed for compatible Mil-Spec AR-15 lower receivers. Part of Timney’s Impact Series, this self-contained cassette-style trigger gives builders a cleaner single-stage trigger pull without requiring fitting, adjustment, or gunsmithing.

This R.E.D. edition stands for Remember Everyone Deployed and features special-edition styling tied to Timney’s support of deployed service members through AdoptAPlatoon. It keeps the same practical Impact AR design philosophy: a more affordable AR trigger built with billet steel components rather than stamped or metal injection molded parts.

The curved trigger shoe provides a familiar trigger profile for shooters who prefer a traditional AR-style finger placement. Timney factory sets the pull weight at 3-4 lb, producing a crisp, clean, non-adjustable single-stage break with straightforward drop-in installation. The cassette-style housing keeps the components captive inside a lightweight aluminum alloy body for a simplified upgrade path.

Timney uses wire-EDM machining for the hammer, which is made from S7 tool steel for a combination of wear resistance and impact strength. Other internal components are EDM cut from A2 tool steel and heat treated to Rc 56-60 for long service life. Precision manufacturing and factory calibration help support a consistent trigger feel from a trigger that remains approachable for budget-conscious AR builds.

The R.E.D. Impact AR Trigger installs using the rifle’s original hammer and trigger pins, and Timney’s proprietary design eliminates the need for anti-walk pins. This model is compatible with Mil-Spec AR-15 lowers using .154 small-pin dimensions.
