The straight trigger shoe provides a flat trigger face for consistent finger placement and a direct rearward press. For shooters upgrading from a standard Mil-Spec fire-control group, the Impact AR offers a smoother, cleaner break while keeping the familiar simplicity of a single-stage trigger. Timney designed the Impact AR as a 100% drop-in trigger with no gunsmithing, fitting, or user adjustment required. All major components are captive inside the lightweight aluminum alloy housing, and the assembly installs using the rifle’s original hammer and trigger pins. Timney’s proprietary retention design helps eliminate pin walkout without requiring anti-walk pins.

The Impact AR uses billet steel internal components rather than stamped or metal injection molded parts. The hammer is wire-EDM machined from S7 tool steel for a balance of impact strength and wear resistance, while other internal components are EDM cut from A2 tool steel and heat-treated to Rc 56-60 for long service life.

Each trigger is hand-assembled, tested, and calibrated before leaving the factory. The Impact AR is backed by Timney’s lifetime warranty and made in the USA, giving AR-15 owners a straightforward trigger upgrade with durable construction, clean pull characteristics, and an approachable price point.
