The Timney Impact AR Trigger is a drop-in single-stage trigger for compatible Mil-Spec AR-15 lowers, designed for shooters who want a cleaner trigger press at a more accessible price point. This curved-shoe version keeps a traditional AR trigger feel while upgrading the pull quality over many standard factory fire-control groups.

The Impact AR is factory tuned with a non-adjustable 3-4 lb pull weight, giving the trigger a crisp, clean break without requiring fitting, tuning, or gunsmithing. Its curved trigger shoe provides familiar finger placement for shooters who prefer the conventional AR profile rather than a straight trigger face.

Timney builds the Impact AR as a cassette-style drop-in module with all major components captive inside a lightweight aluminum alloy housing. The trigger installs using the rifle’s original hammer and trigger pins, while Timney’s proprietary retention design helps eliminate pin walkout without requiring anti-walk pins.

Unlike many budget-oriented trigger upgrades, the Impact AR uses billet steel internal components rather than stamped or metal injection molded parts. The hammer is wire-EDM machined from S7 tool steel for impact strength and wear resistance, while other internal components are EDM cut from A2 tool steel and heat-treated to Rc 56-60 for long service life.

Each Impact AR trigger is hand-assembled, tested, and calibrated before leaving the factory. For range rifles, recreational AR-15 builds, training carbines, and cost-conscious upgrades, the curved Impact AR offers a practical balance of clean pull characteristics, durable construction, and straightforward installation.
