Timney was asked to develop an AR trigger at a lower price point without sacrificing quality for budget-minded AR builders. With many of the same features as the flagship 667S, Timney would like to introduce the Impact AR trigger – the next trigger in the line of excellent triggers from the craftsmen and women of the world’s finest trigger.

Timney’s engineers figured out a way to machine the parts from billet steel (no skimping with metal injection molding or stamped old-school parts), assemble the triggers, and still hand-test this trigger by our trigger technicians at a price that you asked for – $149.99. The Impact will give you a crisp, clean, 3 to 4-pound-range break and will drop into all Mil-Spec ARs.

All components are captive in the lightweight, aluminum alloy housing. Hammer is wire-EDM machined from S7 tool steel that combines hardness to resist wear with superior impact resistance to withstand heavy use without chipping or breaking. Other components are EDM cut from A2 tool steel, then heat-treated to Rc 56-60 for long service life.
