Developed in collaboration with professional multi-gun competitor Daniel Horner, the Timney DH3 Two Stage Adjustable Trigger was engineered to deliver the fast, refined trigger control demanded in high-level AR competition shooting. This self-contained drop-in trigger system combines a smooth two-stage pull with user-adjustable pull weight settings, allowing shooters to fine-tune trigger feel for their preferred rifle setup and shooting style.

The DH3 trigger is built as a 100% drop-in module for compatible AR-style rifles, requiring no gunsmithing, fitting, or complicated installation procedures. The cassette-style housing keeps all major components self-contained within a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum housing that is anodized for durability and long-term use. The trigger shoe itself is CNC machined, heat treated, and coated for additional wear resistance and consistent operation.

Timney designed the DH3 with a true two-stage trigger pull that provides a controlled first stage followed by a crisp, clean second-stage break. The pull weight is user adjustable from approximately 1.5 to 3 pounds total pull weight, allowing shooters to tailor the trigger feel to their application. Timney specifies a 0.5 lb first stage combined with an adjustable 1 to 2.5 lb second stage.

Critical fire control components are manufactured from premium tool steels for durability under heavy use. The hammer is wire-EDM cut from S7 tool steel and finished with a Teflon-nickel coating to improve lubricity and wear resistance. The sear and disconnector are wire-EDM cut from A2 tool steel, heat treated to 58-60 Rockwell, and also coated with Teflon nickel for smooth engagement surfaces and dependable long-term service life.
