The Timney AR-15 Competition Trigger with curved shoe and 3 lb pull weight is a self-contained drop-in trigger built for compatible small-pin AR-15 and M4-pattern rifles. This version gives shooters the lightest pull weight in the AR-15 Competition Trigger family while keeping the familiar feel of a traditional curved trigger shoe.

The curved trigger profile supports a natural AR-style finger position, making it a strong choice for shooters who want a refined single-stage trigger without switching to a flat or skeletonized shoe. The factory-set 3 lb pull delivers a smooth, crisp, creep-free break that is well suited for precision range rifles, varmint builds, competition-oriented AR-15s, and other setups where a lighter, cleaner trigger press is preferred.

Installation is straightforward because the trigger arrives as a complete cassette-style module. No gunsmithing, fitting, or user adjustment is required. All major components are captive inside the lightweight aluminum alloy housing, and the assembly installs using the rifle’s original hammer and trigger pins.

Timney uses durable tool-steel internals to support long service life and consistent trigger feel. The hammer is wire-EDM machined from S7 tool steel for impact strength and wear resistance, while the other internal components are EDM cut from A2 tool steel and heat-treated to Rc 56-60. Precision-ground engagement surfaces help produce the clean hammer release and repeatable single-stage break Timney’s Competition Trigger series is known for.

The proprietary retention design helps eliminate pin walkout without requiring anti-walk pins. Each trigger is hand-assembled, tested, and calibrated before leaving the factory, giving AR-15 builders a clean, lightweight pull with simple installation and dependable trigger consistency.
