The Timney AR PRO Two-Stage Trigger is a self-contained drop-in trigger engineered for AR-platform competition rifles where a light, predictable two-stage pull is preferred. Its fixed 2-pound combined pull consists of an 8-ounce first stage followed by a 1.5-pound second stage, creating a short take-up, defined wall, and crisp break without requiring pull-weight adjustment.

Timney developed the AR PRO around competition use, combining a lightweight two-stage pull with a rigid cassette-style housing and precision-machined internal components. The complete trigger assembly drops into compatible mil-spec AR receivers without gunsmith fitting, providing a straightforward replacement for a conventional fire-control group.

The housing is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized for durability. Internally, the sear and disconnector are wire EDM cut from A2 tool steel, while the hammer is wire EDM cut from S7 tool steel. These components are heat treated and Teflon-nickel coated to reduce friction and support long-term wear resistance.

A CNC-machined trigger shoe is heat treated and finished in Black Oxide for corrosion resistance. The AR PRO uses fixed, non-adjustable stage weights so the trigger arrives with the pull characteristics established by Timney rather than requiring tuning after installation.

Fixed 2-Pound Two-Stage Pull

The AR PRO separates its 2-pound total pull into two distinct stages. The initial 8-ounce take-up leads into a defined second stage requiring approximately 1.5 pounds before the break. Timney fixes both stage weights at the factory, providing consistent pull characteristics without user adjustment.
