Hornady 68 BTHP Match bullets feature AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) bullet jackets. Since these are developed by Hornady engineers, the bullet jackets are a technological advancement in design, tooling and manufacturing. All of this combined produces the most consistently concentric bullet jackets available. These new AMP jackets are the foundation for exceptional bullet accuracy. Most of all, they have virtually zero tolerance for concentricity and near zero wall thickness variation. Coupled with precision swaged cores and manufactured to the tightest standards in the industry, all Hornady Match bullets provide superior consistency, high ballistic coefficients and unprecedented levels of accuracy.
First, the secant ogive profile works to produce low drag and flatter trajectories. This design also provides the best bearing surface for stability in flight and the best ballistic coefficient possible. Secondly, the swaged lead core provides excellent uniformity and balance. Because of this process, it provides shooters consistent performance and accuracy. Also, the AMP Jacket has virtually zero tolerance for concentricity and near zero wall thickness variation. Lastly, the boat tail design is unique to each caliber and weight of Match™ bullets to maximize ballistic coefficient and accuracy.
