The Faxon 6.5 Creedmoor 18″ Heavy Fluted 5R Match Series Barrel is machined from 416R Stainless Steel, features 5R rifling, QPQ Nitride finish, aggressive straight flutes and Nickel Teflon coated M4 feed ramp extension. 100% manufactured in-house from match-grade gun-barrel bar-stock, Faxon puts their barrels through a battery of tests and individually checks each barrel for headspace using precision custom hardened gauges. The Faxon 6.5 Creedmoor 18″ Heavy Fluted 5R Match Series Barrel is configured with a Rifle gas system and 0.75 gas block.
The 5R rifling minimizes jacket deformation, bullet jump, and increases velocity – all accuracy improving features offered in Faxon’s Match series barrels.
Faxon’s heavy profile fluted barrels are nearly 16oz lighter than the non-fluted version, all without sacrificing even an ounce of accuracy and performance.
