Unlike AR-style braces that mount to a carbine receiver extension, the SBT-G2 is a platform-specific assembly designed for firearms such as the HK UMP, B&T APC, and LWRC International SMG45. Its polymer strut incorporates an SB-Mini-based arm cuff, combining a streamlined rear profile with a dedicated folding mechanism.

The right-side-folding design helps reduce the overall footprint of compatible pistols for storage and transport without requiring a separate folding adapter.
