The SB Tactical SBPDW Pistol Stabilizing AR Brace delivers a true PDW-style rear assembly for AR pistols, combining a compact collapsed profile with three-position adjustability. Developed in conjunction with Maxim Defense, the SBPDW is designed for builders who want a more integrated, purpose-built solution than a conventional brace mounted to a standard carbine receiver extension.

The SBPDW installs as a complete assembly and is compatible with mil-spec bolt carrier groups and carbine buffers. Its dual-rod design allows the brace to collapse tightly alongside the receiver, giving short-barreled AR pistol configurations a clean, compact appearance while preserving the familiar internal operating components used by many AR builds.

Three adjustment positions let the brace move between collapsed, intermediate, and fully extended settings. Published dimensions range from approximately 6.75 inches collapsed to 9.375 inches fully extended, allowing the SBPDW to substantially reduce rearward length when collapsed without sacrificing adjustability.

Finished in Black, the SBPDW is a strong match for compact AR-15, AR-9, and 300 Blackout pistol builds where PDW styling, reduced overall footprint, and an integrated adjustable brace assembly are priorities. An adjustable nylon stabilization strap is included, and the complete assembly is ready for installation.

Compact PDW-Style AR Brace

The SBPDW takes a different approach from conventional buffer-tube-mounted pistol braces.
