Compared with more minimalist brace designs, the SBA4 uses a rigidized, reinforced profile derived from the original SBM4 platform. That added structure gives the brace a solid feel while retaining the adjustability needed to fine-tune the overall length of an AR pistol equipped with a compatible carbine receiver extension.

An integral ambidextrous QD sling socket provides a convenient attachment point for compatible push-button sling swivels from either side. The SBA4 also includes an adjustable stabilization strap and maintains broad compatibility across AR-pattern firearms capable of accepting a mil-spec carbine receiver extension.
