Processed Lake City 223 Brass

Processed Lake City 223 Brass offers reloaders a high-quality, cost-saving solution that performs to SAAMI .223 Remington specifications. Originally manufactured as MILSPEC 5.56×45 NATO brass by Lake City in the U.S.A., this once-fired brass is known for its thick walls, strength, and longevity. With proper annealing intervals, reloaders can expect up to eight loading cycles per case—making it an ideal choice for precision shooters, high-volume trainers, and hobbyist reloaders alike.

Sourced directly from U.S. military ranges and processed by veterans, each case is full-length resized, roll sized, and flash hole deburred. Primer pockets are reamed when needed, and cases are thoroughly cleaned and polished. This brass is ready to reload straight out of the bag—no resizing, trimming, or swaging required. Compatible with all .223 Remington chambered rifles, including AR-15 platforms and bolt-action builds.

Every order is overfilled to 101% (10 extra per 1000) and packaged in sealed, heavy-duty, retail-quality bags designed for long-term storage. Though the majority of brass is Lake City headstamp, small quantities of other NATO markings may be present. All cases meet uniform processing and quality standards regardless of stamp.

Compared to new brass from major manufacturers like Hornady, this processed 223 brass offers over 50% savings while still delivering match-grade potential. Whether you choose to load it as-is or perform additional prep for precision applications, it’s a solid foundation for .223 Remington reloads.

Concerns about machine-gun-fired brass are largely myths. The U.S. Military employs numerous 5.56 NATO-capable platforms, and our experience processing hundreds of thousands of cases confirms its reliability. We trust this brass in our own rifles—and are proud to share it with reloaders nationwide.
