The Arm Or Ally Ported Duty Slide w/ RMR Cut for Glock 17 combines a full-size Gen 1–3 slide profile with a functional top window designed around compatible ported-barrel configurations. Precision CNC machined in the USA from 416R stainless steel, this stripped slide provides an optic-ready foundation for custom G17 builds that need proper barrel-port exposure without relying on an external compensator or added muzzle length.

A wide opening at the 12 o’clock position exposes the top of the barrel and allows gases from a correctly aligned ported barrel to vent through the slide. When paired with a compatible Arm Or Ally ported barrel, the slide and barrel work together as an integrated configuration intended to redirect gas upward and help counter muzzle rise. The top window can also be used with a non-ported barrel when the exposed-barrel appearance is preferred.

Dedicated Top-Window Configuration

This slide is differentiated from the standard Arm Or Ally G17 Duty Slide by its full-length top window. The opening provides the clearance required for a matching top-ported Glock 17 barrel while also reducing material along the upper surface of the slide.

Port location and alignment are critical. A barrel should not be selected simply because it is described as ported; its ports must align correctly with the slide window. Using an incompatible barrel can obstruct gas flow, direct fouling against the slide, or prevent the porting system from functioning as intended.

The slide may also be assembled with compatible flush-and-crown or threaded Glock 17 Gen 1–3 barrels. With a non-ported barrel, the window functions as an exposed-barrel design feature rather than a compensating system.

RMR Optic Cut

A direct-milled Trijicon RMR footprint provides a low mounting position for compatible pistol red dots without requiring an adapter plate. Supported optics include the Trijicon RMR and SRO, Holosun 407C, 507C, and 508T, and other models built around the same RMR-pattern mounting interface.

The optic cut sits ahead of the rear sight dovetail, allowing compatible Glock-pattern iron sights to remain installed with the optic. Sight height should be selected according to the optic body and the desired backup sight picture.

Trijicon RMRcc and Holosun K-series optics use different footprints and do not mount directly to this slide. Verify the optic footprint, mounting screws, and manufacturer torque requirements before installation.

Positive Front and Rear Serrations

Angled serrations at the front and rear provide multiple gripping points for loading, clearing, and checking the pistol. Their placement gives the slide a more functional handling surface without crowding the top window or optic area.

The full-size G17 profile provides additional gripping area compared with compact and subcompact slides, while the forward serrations make it possible to manipulate the slide without placing a hand near the mounted optic.

Custom Coating Options

Arm Or Ally offers this ported G17 slide in a rotating selection of custom finishes. Available variations may include solid colors, camouflage treatments, metallic appearances, and specialty patterns finished in Cerakote or Diamond-Like Carbon.

These coatings provide additional surface protection while allowing the top window, barrel, frame, and optic to be coordinated as part of a complete build. Pattern placement can vary slightly on camouflage and specialty-coated slides.

Stripped Slide Configuration

This product is sold as a stripped slide. A barrel, recoil spring assembly, internal slide components, sights, optic, mounting hardware, and optic cover plate are not included unless the selected variation specifically states otherwise.

Completing the slide generally requires a firing pin assembly, firing pin safety and spring, extractor assembly, channel liner, back plate, Glock 17 Gen 1–3 barrel, compatible recoil spring assembly, and Glock-pattern sights. The components used must match the slide generation and the intended barrel configuration.

Glock 17 Gen 1–3 Fitment

The Arm Or Ally Ported Duty Slide is designed for Glock 17 Gen 1–3 frames and compatible Gen 3-pattern builds. It accepts compatible factory-style Gen 1–3 internal components, recoil assemblies, barrels, and sights.

This slide is not a direct replacement for Glock 17 Gen 4 or Gen 5 models. Generation-specific differences in the recoil spring assembly, slide nose, internal geometry, and related components prevent universal interchangeability.

Arm Or Ally guarantees replacement fit and function on factory Glock frames when the slide is assembled with a factory Glock slide completion kit or an Arm Or Ally Slide Completion Parts Kit. Fitment and operation with other aftermarket completion kits may vary.
