The Norma 308 Win 170gr TipStrike is a flat-base tipped projectile great for medium and large game hunting. The excellent penetration achieved by controlled expansion helps ensure game is harvested quickly, ethically, and effectively with well-placed shots.

This cartridge features a polymer tip that enhances ballistic performance and flight stability. The insertion of the tip initiates a slight delay in expansion, which contributes to deeper and more controlled penetration. A devastating shock effect is created through the tapered and rapidly opening front portion of the jacket, which is designed to expand quickly upon impact.
To ensure reliable and deep terminal performance, the rear part of the bullet jacket is built strong and straight. Additionally, an internal mechanical lead lock helps retain bullet integrity during penetration, maximizing energy transfer into the target and helping ensure consistent and ethical results in the field.
