The Killer Innovations Velocity V1 Slide for Glock 17 Gen 5 is a premium optic-ready replacement slide built around aggressive machining, positive handling characteristics, and durable 17-4 stainless steel construction. The DLC Black finish gives the slide a low-profile appearance while providing a hard, wear-resistant surface suited to pistols that see frequent training, competition, or carry use.

Killer Innovations removes material through three prominent V1 window cuts, creating the signature open-profile appearance while exposing portions of the barrel underneath. The slide also incorporates Enhanced Grip Feature machining at the front and rear. These E.G.F. surfaces create pronounced contact points that make it easier to establish leverage when racking the slide, checking the chamber, or clearing the pistol.

For red dot installation, the Velocity V1 uses Killer Innovations’ dual optic-cut system. The slide is machined to accept both Trijicon RMR and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro mounting footprints directly, eliminating the need for a conventional adapter plate between the slide and supported optics. Compatible optics using either mounting pattern can therefore be selected based on the intended build rather than being limited to a single footprint.

The slide starts as 17-4 stainless steel and receives a Diamond-Like Carbon coating for increased surface hardness, lubricity, abrasion resistance, and corrosion protection. The DLC Black treatment complements the functional machining with a subdued finish that pairs easily with black, stainless, gold, copper, or other contrasting barrel finishes.

Designed specifically around the Glock 17 Gen 5 platform, the Velocity V1 weighs approximately 9.1 ounces in stripped configuration with the optic cover plate and screws installed. It is supplied as a stripped slide so the barrel, recoil assembly, sights, and internal components can be selected separately to match the intended Gen 5 build.
