Hornady 9mm Cal 90gr XTP

The Hornady 9mm Cal 90gr XTP^® is a fast, lightweight defensive bullet engineered for rapid expansion and controlled penetration. Like all Hornady XTP^® bullets, this 90gr version features an exposed hollow point designed to open upon impact. Internal serrations around the cavity control expansion, even at lower velocities, making this bullet particularly well-suited for short-barreled pistols or suppressed applications. Its rapid energy dump and mushrooming effect result in large wound channels and excellent stopping power at close ranges.

The swaged lead core is balanced for consistent expansion and in-flight stability, helping to ensure pinpoint accuracy from modern 9mm platforms. The jacket, drawn from gilding metal, fully encloses the nose of the bullet to reduce fouling and support reliable feeding through semi-automatic handguns. The drawn gilding jacket also enhances strength, allowing the bullet to remain intact while expanding evenly during terminal impact.

CONTROLLED EXPANSION
