Holosun 509T X2

The Holosun 509T X2 is a fully enclosed pistol optic available with either a red or green Multi-Reticle System. Select the preferred reticle color from the available options above. Both configurations combine a Grade 5 titanium housing, selectable circle-dot reticle, Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake, and a side-loading battery tray in a compact sight engineered for defensive carry, duty pistols, competition, and demanding range use.

By sealing the LED emitter inside the housing, the 509T X2 prevents rain, dust, lint, mud, and other debris from blocking the light source. This enclosed construction helps preserve a consistent aiming point in adverse conditions and gives the optic a substantial reliability advantage over conventional open-emitter sights.

Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System allows the shooter to select a precise 2 MOA dot, a rapid-acquisition 32 MOA circle, or the combined circle-dot reticle. The dot provides a refined aiming point with minimal target obstruction, while the larger circle can help the eye locate the center of the window during fast presentations and recoil recovery.

The Red variation uses a 650nm Super LED, while the Green variation uses a high-contrast 540nm Super LED. Both models provide eight daylight and four night-vision-compatible brightness settings, allowing reticle intensity to be matched to bright outdoor conditions, reduced light, or compatible night-vision equipment.

Solar Failsafe supplements the CR1632 battery with ambient light and supports automatic brightness adjustment when the optic is operated in Auto Mode. Manual Mode provides direct control over illumination when a consistent, user-selected brightness level is preferred.

Shake Awake conserves battery power by placing the sight into standby after inactivity and restoring the previous setting when movement is detected. Memory Function recalls the last-used brightness level, while Lockout Mode helps prevent unintended button presses from changing the reticle or illumination setting during carry.

A side-loading CR1632 battery tray allows the battery to be replaced without removing the optic from the slide or disturbing its zero. Battery life reaches up to 50,000 hours at brightness setting six, providing extended operation between scheduled battery changes.

The Grade 5 titanium housing delivers exceptional resistance to impact while keeping the optic to approximately 1.27 ounces. Its compact dimensions, multi-coated glass, IP67 environmental protection, and 5,000G vibration rating make the 509T X2 suitable for hard-use handguns without adding excessive mass to the reciprocating slide.

The Holosun 509T X2 uses its own proprietary mounting footprint. An RMR-to-509T adapter plate is included for installation on compatible RMR-pattern slides and mounting plates. Because slide cuts, adapter systems, and screw requirements vary, compatibility should be confirmed for the specific firearm before installation.
