The Arm Or Ally Duty Slide w/ RMR Cut for Glock 17 provides an optic-ready foundation for full-size Gen 1–3 builds without the windows, ports, or aggressive lightening cuts found on competition-style slides. Precision CNC machined in the USA from 416R stainless steel, its solid-body profile prioritizes durability, straightforward component compatibility, and a clean duty-inspired appearance.

Front and rear angled serrations provide a secure gripping surface for loading, press checks, and malfunction clearance. The machining adds useful handling surfaces while preserving the familiar proportions of a traditional Glock^® 17 slide. At approximately 10 ounces, the slide maintains a substantial full-size feel and works with compatible factory-pattern barrels, guide rods, and upper components.

RMR-Cut Glock 17 Slide

The slide is direct-milled for the Trijicon RMR footprint, allowing compatible optics to mount low on the slide without an adapter plate. Compatible red dots include the Trijicon RMR and SRO, Holosun 407C, 507C, and 508T, along with other optics that use the same RMR-pattern interface.

The optic cut is positioned in front of the rear sight dovetail, preserving the ability to install compatible Glock-pattern iron sights. An optional RMR cover plate may be installed when the slide is used without an optic.

The Trijicon RMRcc and Holosun K-series optics use different mounting patterns and do not mount directly to this cut. Always confirm optic footprint, screw length, and installation requirements before mounting a red dot.

Solid-Body Duty Profile

This version of the Arm Or Ally G17 Duty Slide uses a closed top and solid side profile. It is designed for builds that favor traditional slide geometry rather than exposed barrel windows or porting. The configuration pairs with standard flush-and-crown barrels as well as compatible threaded Glock 17 barrels.

Because the slide does not incorporate a top window, it should not be confused with the Arm Or Ally Ported Duty Slide for Glock 17. Builders planning to use a barrel with functional top porting should select a slide specifically machined to align with that porting system.

Custom Finish Options

Arm Or Ally Duty Slides are available in a rotating selection of custom coatings, ranging from restrained solid finishes to camouflage and specialty patterns. Depending on the selected variation, the slide may feature a Cerakote or Diamond-Like Carbon finish that adds surface protection and gives the completed upper a distinctive appearance.

Stripped Glock 17 Slide

This product is sold as a stripped slide. It does not include a barrel, recoil spring assembly, sights, optic, cover plate, or internal slide components unless the selected option specifically states otherwise.

Completing the upper typically requires a firing pin assembly, firing pin safety and spring, extractor assembly, channel liner, back plate, barrel, recoil spring assembly, and sights. Compatible completion components are available within Arm Or Ally’s small parts for Glock slides collection.

Glock 17 Gen 1–3 Compatibility

The Arm Or Ally Duty Slide is designed for Glock 17 Gen 1–3 frames and compatible Gen 3-pattern builds. It accepts compatible factory-style Glock 17 Gen 1–3 internals, barrels, guide rods, and sights.

It is not designed as a direct replacement for Glock 17 Gen 4 or Gen 5 slides. Differences in recoil assemblies, slide geometry, and generation-specific components prevent universal interchangeability. Confirm the frame generation and every major upper component before assembly.

Arm Or Ally guarantees replacement fit and function on factory Glock frames when the slide is assembled with a factory Glock slide completion kit or a compatible Arm Or Ally Slide Completion Parts Kit. Fitment and function with other aftermarket kits may vary.
