About Sights & Optics For Sig Sauer

Sights & Optics for SIG SAUER® P365 Pistols

Shop red dot sights and optics for SIG SAUER® P365-family pistols at Arm or Ally. Our selection focuses on compact optics suited to optics-ready P365, P365X, P365XL, P365 XMacro, and other compatible P365 configurations, including popular models from Holosun and Olight.

The P365 family uses compact optic mounting systems, but exact fitment can vary by slide production, optic footprint, locating features, and mounting hardware. Before choosing a red dot, identify the optic cut on your specific slide and confirm the manufacturer’s mounting requirements.

Red Dot Sights for SIG P365 Pistols

Micro red dot sights are a natural match for the narrow P365 slide because they provide an electronic aiming point without the width and bulk of many full-size pistol optics.

Arm or Ally carries compact options including Holosun 407K and 507K models, the Holosun EPS Carry family, and RMSc-pattern Olight Osight models. These optics are sized for compact and micro-compact handguns, but mounting requirements vary between individual optics and P365 slide configurations.

If you are assembling an aftermarket upper rather than adding an optic to a factory slide, browse our slides for SIG P365 and P365XL pistols first. Aftermarket slides can support different optic cuts than factory SIG slides.

What Optic Footprint Does the SIG P365 Use?

SIG SAUER identifies its traditional P365 compact optic interface as the COMPACT / Shield RMSc footprint. This is the narrow mounting pattern associated with many micro-compact pistol optics.

Newer SIG P365 slides may also use SIG’s SIG-LOC COMPACT mounting system. SIG distinguishes the two slide cuts by their mounting interface: COMPACT/Shield RMSc slides use raised bosses, while SIG-LOC slides use flush screw holes and different mounting hardware.

Because P365 production has evolved, do not identify optic compatibility from the pistol name alone. Check the actual slide and follow the mounting instructions for the optic and slide in your possession.

RMSc vs. Holosun K Footprint

The Shield RMSc and Holosun K footprints belong to the same compact optic size class, but they should not be treated as completely identical mounting standards.

Holosun 407K, 507K, and EPS Carry optics use Holosun’s K footprint. Differences in locating-lug geometry, mounting screws, and individual slide cuts can determine whether a K-footprint optic mounts directly or requires compatible mounting hardware or an adapter.

For that reason, always verify the specific P365 slide rather than assuming that every optic described as “RMSc compatible” or “K footprint” installs identically.

Holosun 407K X2 for SIG P365

The Holosun 407K X2 is a compact open-emitter optic designed around the Holosun K mounting footprint. Its small housing is well suited to micro-compact pistols and uses a fixed 6 MOA aiming dot.

The larger 6 MOA dot creates a prominent aiming reference without requiring a larger optic body. The 407K X2 also includes Shake Awake motion activation, a side-loading battery tray, manual brightness adjustment, and Lock Mode.

Before mounting a 407K to a P365 slide, verify the slide’s optic cut, locating features, screw dimensions, and any adapter requirements specified by SIG or Holosun.

Holosun 507K X2 for SIG P365

The Holosun 507K X2 uses the same compact K-footprint format while adding Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System.

Depending on the selected configuration, the shooter can use a 2 MOA center dot, a 32 MOA circle, or the combined circle-dot reticle. This provides a different sight picture than the fixed 6 MOA dot used by the 407K.

The 507K X2 also incorporates Shake Awake, a side-loading battery tray, manual brightness settings, Memory Function, and Lock Mode in a compact housing designed for slimline and micro-compact pistols.

As with the 407K, mounting fitment should be confirmed against the exact P365 slide and required hardware.

Holosun EPS Carry for SIG P365

The Holosun EPS Carry combines a compact K-footprint mounting interface with a fully enclosed emitter housing. Holosun specifically designs the EPS Carry for narrow carry pistols and includes an RMSc-to-K adapter plate to expand mounting compatibility.

An enclosed emitter differs from a conventional open reflex sight because the LED emitter is sealed inside the optic body rather than exposed behind the rear lens. This prevents lint, dirt, moisture, and other debris from directly obstructing the emitter.

EPS Carry models are available in different reticle configurations, including dot-only and Multi-Reticle System versions, depending on the specific model.

For a P365 that will regularly be carried concealed, an enclosed optic such as the EPS Carry may be worth comparing with open-emitter designs such as the 407K and 507K.

Olight Osight Optics for SIG P365

Arm or Ally also carries compact RMSc-footprint optics from Olight for compatible P365 slide configurations.

The Olight Osight K is a compact open-emitter red dot using the RMSc footprint and a 6 MOA reticle.

The Olight Osight S uses an RMSc footprint in an enclosed-emitter configuration with selectable reticle capability.

The Olight Osight SE is another compact enclosed-emitter RMSc optic and provides a battery-powered alternative within the Osight family.

Even when an optic uses the RMSc footprint, verify the screw specification and exact slide cut before installation.

Open vs. Enclosed P365 Red Dot Sights

Compact pistol optics generally use either an open-emitter or enclosed-emitter design.

Open-Emitter Red Dots

In an open-emitter optic, the LED projects the aiming point onto the viewing lens from an exposed position within the optic body.

Models such as the Holosun 407K X2 and Holosun 507K X2 use this design.

Open optics can provide a compact, lightweight package with a relatively unobstructed viewing window.

Enclosed-Emitter Red Dots

An enclosed optic seals the emitter between front and rear lenses. This prevents external debris from physically blocking the light path between the emitter and viewing lens.

The Holosun EPS Carry, Olight Osight S, and Osight SE are examples of compact enclosed-emitter designs.

Neither architecture changes the requirement to match the optic’s mounting system to the slide.

2 MOA vs. 6 MOA Dots on a P365

Dot size is another important consideration when choosing a P365 optic.

A 2 MOA dot creates a smaller aiming point and can provide a more refined sight picture when greater aiming precision is desired.

A 6 MOA dot creates a larger visual reference that may be easier to locate quickly within a compact optic window.

Multi-reticle optics such as the Holosun 507K X2 provide additional options by allowing the shooter to select a center dot, larger circle, or combined circle-dot reticle.

There is no universal dot size that is correct for every user. Window size, eyesight, presentation, lighting conditions, and personal preference can all influence which reticle appears most usable.

Red vs. Green Dot Optics for the P365

Some compact Holosun optics are offered with either red or green illumination.

Reticle color does not change the optic footprint or basic mounting system. The choice between red and green is primarily based on the available model, visual preference, and how clearly the individual shooter sees the reticle under different lighting conditions.

Do not choose an optic based on reticle color before confirming that its mounting footprint is compatible with the P365 slide.

Do RMR Optics Fit the SIG P365?

A standard Trijicon RMR footprint is not the same mounting system as the Shield RMSc footprint used by traditional optics-ready P365 slides.

The Trijicon RMRcc is also a separate footprint. Despite its smaller dimensions, the RMRcc should not be treated as interchangeable with RMSc or Holosun K optics.

Some aftermarket P365 slides support additional optic footprints or multi-pattern mounting systems. For example, an aftermarket slide may specifically support RMRcc as well as RMSc/K-size optics.

Fitment should therefore be determined from the slide’s actual optic cut, not simply from the fact that the optic is marketed for compact pistols.

P365, P365X, P365XL and XMacro Optics

The P365 family includes numerous configurations, but the pistol model name alone does not always identify the exact optic mounting interface.

Optics-ready P365-family pistols can include:

  • SIG P365
  • SIG P365X
  • SIG P365XL
  • SIG P365 XMacro
  • P365 XMacro variants
  • P365 Spectre and Spectre Comp configurations
  • Other optics-ready P365-family models

Production changes are also important. SIG now uses both its traditional COMPACT/Shield RMSc system and newer SIG-LOC COMPACT mounting architecture within the P365 family.

Confirm the slide’s actual cut before ordering an optic, even when the optic is commonly associated with the P365.

Factory P365 Slides vs. Aftermarket P365 Slides

Factory SIG slides and aftermarket P365 slides should not automatically be assumed to use the same optic interface.

A factory optics-ready P365 slide may use the SIG COMPACT/Shield RMSc or newer SIG-LOC interface. Aftermarket slides can use RMSc, Holosun K, RMRcc, proprietary multi-footprint systems, or another cut selected by the slide manufacturer.

If you are building an upper using one of our aftermarket P365 slides, use the optic compatibility information provided with that exact slide before selecting your red dot.

The optic should follow the slide—not the other way around.

How to Choose an Optic for Your SIG P365

Before purchasing a red dot sight, confirm:

  • Slide: Determine whether the slide is factory SIG or aftermarket.
  • Optic cut: Identify Shield RMSc/COMPACT, SIG-LOC, Holosun K, RMRcc, or another specified footprint.
  • Mounting hardware: Verify screw diameter, thread pitch, screw length, and any required plate or adapter.
  • Optic size: Choose an optic appropriately sized for the narrow P365 slide.
  • Emitter design: Compare open-emitter and enclosed-emitter optics.
  • Reticle: Consider dot size, circle-dot options, and available reticle colors.
  • Battery access: Determine whether battery replacement requires optic removal.
  • Iron sight relationship: Check optic deck height and sight configuration if co-witnessing is important.
  • Manufacturer instructions: Follow the specified mounting procedure and torque requirements for the exact slide and optic.

Never substitute mounting screws simply because they thread into the slide. Incorrect screw dimensions can interfere with proper installation or prevent the optic from seating correctly.

Complete Your SIG P365 Upper

An optic is only one component of the upper assembly. If you are building or updating an aftermarket configuration, start with our SIG P365 slides, then compare P365 and P365XL barrels and SIG P365 small parts and muzzle components.
