The Faxon Match Series 16″ Flame Fluted 8.6 BLK 416R SS Nitride 5R Carbine-Length Barrel is built to deliver premium performance and aggressive styling for AR-10 shooters who demand accuracy, power, and control. Crafted from 416R stainless steel, this barrel features a salt bath nitride treatment inside and out, improving surface hardness and corrosion resistance while preserving the barrel’s match-grade tolerances. The flame fluting design not only looks striking—it increases surface area for enhanced heat dissipation and reduces weight while maintaining rigidity.

At 16 inches in length, this barrel offers a well-balanced platform that delivers excellent muzzle velocity with the 8.6 Blackout cartridge. The Big Gunner profile with flame fluting retains mass near the chamber for strength while shedding unnecessary material forward, improving balance and reducing fatigue during extended use. It’s an ideal choice for hunting, tactical, and suppressed applications where mobility and accuracy must coexist.

Chambered in 8.6 Blackout, this barrel is equipped with a 1:3 twist rate and 5R button rifling to stabilize the heavy, subsonic rounds the caliber is known for. The fast twist rate promotes proper spin stabilization, especially for projectiles in the 285 to 350 grain range, making it an excellent option for suppressed shooting. The 5R rifling reduces jacket deformation and fouling, helping to maintain barrel life and shot-to-shot consistency.

With a .875″ gas block journal and carbine-length gas system, this barrel offers reliable function and cycling under suppressed and unsuppressed conditions. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 TPI for compatibility with common muzzle devices or suppressors. An M4 barrel extension coated in nickel Teflon NP3 ensures smooth, secure lockup with your upper receiver. Weighing approximately 2.13 lbs, this barrel provides the right mix of weight, strength, and thermal efficiency.

Each barrel is magnetic particle inspected and air-gauge tested to verify structural integrity and precision manufacturing.
