The Faxon 6.5 Grendel / 6MM ARC / 22 ARC Type 2 Bolt – Black Nitride is purpose-built for high-pressure, long-range calibers that demand enhanced strength, consistency, and dependability. Whether you’re assembling a precision rifle or modernizing an existing upper, this Type II bolt delivers unmatched durability and compatibility with SAAMI-spec 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, 22 ARC, and .338 ARC chamberings. Machined from 9310 tool steel, the bolt is fully heat-treated to MIL-SPEC standards and shot-peened to increase fatigue resistance. It is then salt bath nitrided to provide a smooth, corrosion-resistant surface that enhances lubricity and cleans easily after high round counts.
Each bolt is Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to ensure it’s free from defects and built to last. Faxon’s design includes a .136″ co-bore bolt face to align with Type II barrels and bolt carriers. The lugs are chamfered at 45 degrees for improved engagement and cycling under pressure, making it ideal for both high-volume shooters and demanding tactical scenarios.

The extractor is engineered from premium S7 tool steel and is fully heat-treated and shot-peened per MIL-SPEC.
