The Faxon 6.5 Creedmoor 22″ Heavy Fluted 5R Match Series Barrel is built for precision shooters who demand consistent long-range accuracy, excellent barrel life, and premium construction. Made from 416R stainless steel and fully machined in-house from certified match-grade bar-stock, this barrel delivers match-level performance straight from the factory.

Faxon’s use of 5R rifling enhances ballistic consistency by reducing jacket deformation, minimizing fouling, and improving velocity—all of which contribute to superior accuracy. The barrel also features an 11-degree target crown for optimal muzzle gas dispersion and enhanced shot-to-shot consistency. Finished with QPQ salt bath nitriding, this barrel provides exceptional corrosion resistance and surface hardness inside and out.

To reduce weight without sacrificing rigidity, the 22″ barrel is aggressively straight fluted, cutting nearly 16 ounces compared to a non-fluted heavy barrel. This helps improve handling while still maintaining exceptional stability under heat. The rifle-length gas system paired with a 0.75″ gas block journal ensures smooth cycling and a softer recoil impulse—perfect for both precision and competition setups.

Every barrel is individually inspected for headspace using hardened gauges and undergoes MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) to guarantee material integrity. The Nickel Teflon-coated M4 feed ramp extension enhances feeding reliability in demanding shooting environments.
