The Faxon 6.5 Creedmoor 20″ Heavy Fluted 5R Match Series Barrel is engineered for shooters who demand high-performance precision and consistency from their long-range rifle platform. Built entirely in-house from 416R stainless steel match-grade bar-stock, this barrel delivers the craftsmanship and performance expected from Faxon’s elite Match Series line.

This 20″ barrel features 5R rifling, known for reducing jacket deformation, minimizing fouling, and enhancing bullet stability in flight. Combined with a carefully cut 11-degree target crown, the result is consistent muzzle gas dispersion and tighter groupings at distance. The QPQ salt bath nitride finish provides excellent corrosion resistance and wear protection inside and out, while the Nickel Teflon-coated M4 feed ramp extension ensures smooth and reliable feeding under stress.

To balance strength and weight, Faxon includes aggressive straight flutes, reducing overall weight by nearly 16 ounces compared to non-fluted heavy barrels. This improved handling and heat dissipation comes without sacrificing barrel rigidity or accuracy. The barrel features a rifle-length gas system and a 0.75” gas block journal, delivering smooth cycling and optimal recoil control for a wide range of shooting applications.

Every barrel is fully MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspected) and individually headspace checked using precision custom hardened gauges—guaranteeing safety, performance, and durability out of the box.
