Combined with an 11-degree target crown, it ensures consistent muzzle gas dispersion and shot-to-shot performance. The QPQ salt bath nitride finish provides exceptional corrosion resistance and longevity, while the Nickel Teflon-coated M4 feed ramp extension supports smooth and reliable feeding, even under high round counts.

Each barrel is MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspected) and individually headspace checked using precision hardened gauges to ensure material integrity and consistent, safe operation. Configured with a rifle-length gas system, it delivers reliable cycling and softer recoil characteristics ideal for long-range and competition applications.

What is the Big Gunner Profile?
The Big Gunner is an enhanced version of Faxon’s original Gunner profile. From the extension to the gas block journal, it mimics the taper of a traditional Government profile—retaining mass where it matters most for heat mitigation and rigidity. Forward of the gas block, it transitions to a pencil profile, significantly reducing front-end weight. This shift in balance offers excellent maneuverability without compromising accuracy or barrel integrity, making it a well-balanced choice for dynamic and precision shooting alike.
