The Faxon 5.56 NATO 18″ Gunner Barrel delivers the perfect balance between extended accuracy potential and lightweight handling. Crafted from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium (CMV) steel and finished in QPQ Nitride for excellent corrosion resistance, this barrel is engineered for longevity and consistent performance. The inclusion of a Nickel Teflon coated M4 feed ramp extension ensures reliable cycling and smooth feeding under demanding conditions.
Each Faxon barrel is fully manufactured in-house using gun-barrel-quality bar stock and goes through an extensive quality control process. Every barrel is MPI inspected and individually headspace checked using custom hardened gauges. This 18″ Gunner model is optimized with a Rifle-length gas system for a smoother recoil impulse and improved gas regulation, especially beneficial during high-volume shooting or suppressed operation.

The Gunner profile blends the durability of the Government profile with the weight savings and responsiveness of the Pencil profile. From the barrel extension to the gas block journal, it mimics the robust taper of the Government profile. Ahead of the gas block, it transitions into a lighter, pencil-style contour, shifting weight closer to the receiver. This design reduces front-end fatigue and improves maneuverability while maintaining thermal stability and accuracy shot after shot.
