Faxon manufactures every barrel in-house from premium gun-barrel-grade bar stock. Each barrel undergoes thorough magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and is individually checked for headspace using precision custom hardened gauges. The 16″ length paired with a Mid-Length gas system ensures optimal dwell time, improved recoil management, and enhanced reliability, especially during rapid fire or suppressed use.

The Gunner profile blends the proven taper of the Government profile from the barrel extension to the gas block journal with the lightweight maneuverability of a Pencil profile forward of the gas block. This design shifts mass toward the rear of the rifle, improving handling characteristics and reducing shooter fatigue while maintaining the strength and thermal properties needed for sustained accuracy.
