The Faxon 450 Bushmaster 16″ Gunner Big Bore Barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium (CMV) steel with a QPQ Nitride corrosion-resistant finish, and M4 feed ramp extension. 100% manufactured in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar-stock, Faxon puts their barrels through a battery of tests and individually checks each barrel for headspace using precision custom hardened gauges. The Faxon 450 Bushmaster 16″ Gunner Big Bore Barrel is configured with a Carbine gas system and features Faxon’s iconic Gunner profile.

Just what is the Gunner profile?

The Gunner profile is a blend of two of the best performing profiles of all time! From extension to journal, the Gunner profile features the Government profile’s well-known taper. Innovation then takes over and the Gunner transitions to a 0.875″ gas block journal and pencil front end. Removing weight from the front of the barrel ensures maximum versatility and keeps material to the rear to maximize heat resistance and mitigate whip.
