The Faxon .308 WIN 20″ Heavy Fluted 5R Match Series Barrel is purpose-built for precision shooters demanding top-tier performance, accuracy, and durability from their rifle components. Manufactured in-house from 416R stainless steel match-grade bar-stock, this barrel is designed to deliver long-range consistency and sub-MOA precision with each shot.

Featuring 5R rifling, a QPQ Nitride finish, and a Nickel Teflon-coated M4 feed ramp extension, this Match Series barrel blends advanced engineering with rugged surface treatments to enhance accuracy and extend service life. 5R rifling reduces bullet deformation, minimizes fouling, and increases velocity by improving the gas seal behind the projectile, leading to greater shot-to-shot consistency.

To ensure absolute reliability, Faxon subjects every barrel to a full battery of quality control tests and verifies headspace using precision custom-hardened gauges. The result is a barrel you can trust for both competition and duty-grade use.

The heavy fluted design not only improves rigidity and heat dissipation but also reduces weight by nearly 16 ounces compared to non-fluted versions—offering a perfect balance of stability and maneuverability. The barrel is configured with a rifle-length gas system for smooth cycling and reduced recoil impulse, and features a 0.75” gas block journal.
