The Faxon 16″ Gunner Profile AR15 Barrel, 5.56 NATO w/ Integral Slim 3 Port Brake delivers a perfect balance of weight reduction, muzzle control, and enhanced durability. Machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium (CMV) steel and treated with a QPQ Nitride finish, this barrel is designed to withstand extreme use and harsh environments while maintaining consistent accuracy and reliability.

This model features an integrated slim 3-port brake machined directly into the overall length of the barrel. The integrated design helps meet the 16” minimum legal length without requiring pinning and welding, while also delivering improved recoil mitigation and faster follow-up shots. The slim profile of the brake ensures easy installation or removal of a low-profile gas block, making it a highly versatile option for builders and shooters alike.

Configured with a Mid-Length gas system and a 0.625″ gas block journal, this barrel promotes smoother cycling and reduced felt recoil. Every Faxon barrel is manufactured 100% in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar stock and is individually headspaced using precision custom hardened gauges to guarantee out-of-the-box performance.

The Gunner profile blends the rigidity of the Government profile with the lightweight benefits of the Pencil profile. From the barrel extension to the gas block journal, the profile mirrors the taper of the Government design. Beyond the journal, it transitions into a slimmer Pencil contour. This reduction in front-end weight improves handling and agility, while keeping mass at the rear to increase heat resistance and reduce whip—perfect for high-performance rifles that need to stay lightweight and accurate under stress.
