The Faxon 16″ 5.56 NATO Gunner Barrel w/ Pinned Gas Block offers shooters an optimal balance between performance, weight savings, and reliability. Built from rugged 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium (CMV) steel and finished in corrosion-resistant QPQ Nitride, this barrel is engineered to handle demanding conditions with ease. The M4 feed ramp extension ensures reliable cycling, while the Mid-Length gas system provides smooth, consistent operation with reduced recoil impulse.

This barrel includes a precision-fit, low-profile gas block that is pre-drilled and pinned to match the journal, eliminating the risk of slippage during sustained fire or harsh use. Each barrel is 100% manufactured in-house by Faxon from gun-barrel-quality bar stock and is thoroughly inspected, including headspace checks using custom hardened gauges to ensure consistent accuracy and safety.

The Faxon Gunner profile is a hybrid of two legendary profiles—Government and Pencil—designed for real-world versatility. It features the familiar taper of a Government profile from the extension to the journal, transitioning to a pencil-thin front end. This reduction in front-end weight makes the rifle easier to handle and quicker to maneuver, while maintaining strength and heat resistance where it’s needed most.
