The FailZero EXO AR-15 5.56 Bolt Carrier Group | Nickel Boron is a complete, drop-in BCG designed for mil-spec AR-15 upper receivers chambered in 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, and .300 Blackout. Featuring FailZero’s proprietary EXO Nickel Boron treatment across the critical operating components, this semi-auto bolt carrier group delivers a slick, wear-resistant surface that helps reduce friction, resist corrosion, and make routine cleaning easier.

This FailZero BCG uses a 5.56/.223 bolt configuration that is also compatible with .300 Blackout, allowing it to serve across several of the most common AR-15 chamberings. The complete assembly arrives ready to install in most mil-spec AR-15 upper receivers without requiring individual BCG components to be sourced separately.

Proven AR-15 BCG Construction

The carrier is machined from 8620 steel and paired with a Carpenter 158 steel bolt. The bolt is High Pressure Tested and Magnetic Particle Inspected to help verify structural integrity, while the properly staked carrier key supports a secure gas seal and dependable cycling.
