The Bravo Company MK2 Recoil Mitigation System – M1T2 Buffer Kit is designed to enhance the performance and reliability of AR-15 platforms, particularly in suppressed or over-gassed setups. This kit integrates Bravo Company’s extended receiver extension, intermediate buffer, and rifle-length action spring into a single, tuned system that improves carrier control, reduces felt recoil, and minimizes bolt bounce.

At the core of the system is the MK2 Mod 1 – T2 buffer, weighing approximately 5.6 oz. It delivers increased mass over the T0 and T1 variants, helping to tame recoil from suppressed fire or hotter loads. Combined with the Mil-Spec M16 rifle-length action spring, this system offers a smoother recoil impulse and more consistent cycling across a broader range of conditions. The included MK2 Receiver Extension is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, finished in Type III Class 2 hardcoat anodizing, and offers 8 adjustment positions with true Mil-Spec dimensions.

The kit also includes a steel M4 lock nut (castle nut) and a QD end plate, enabling modern sling mounting options and solid receiver extension retention. Internal geometry enhancements and spring alignment contribute to quieter, more consistent recoil operation with reduced mechanical wear over time.

Important Compatibility Note: The MK2 Recoil Mitigation System is purpose-built for AR-15 receiver platforms and must be used exclusively with the BCM MK2 buffer, MK2 Receiver Extension, and the Mil-Spec M16 Rifle Action Spring provided in the kit. Standard carbine-length buffers, springs, or extensions are not compatible and may result in firearm malfunction or operator injury. Additionally, some mil-spec collapsible stocks may not fully collapse due to the extended length of the MK2 tube. Most stocks will remain functional but may sit slightly forward of the end plate.
