The Bravo Company MK2 Recoil Mitigation System | M1T1 Buffer Kit is a fully integrated solution for AR-15 platforms, engineered to reduce felt recoil, increase carrier control, and improve reliability in suppressed and unsuppressed configurations. This Mod 1 system incorporates Bravo Company’s extended-length receiver extension and matched components to create a refined recoil system with a wider operating envelope than traditional carbine setups.

The included MK2 Mod 1 – T1 buffer weighs approximately 4.7 oz, offering a balanced recoil impulse ideal for midweight to heavier-duty builds. The rifle-length M16 action spring enhances return consistency while minimizing wear on internal components. The MK2 Receiver Extension, machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished with MIL-A-8625F Type III Class 2 anodizing, features eight stock adjustment positions and is 3/4” longer than standard carbine tubes, reducing bolt bounce and improving dwell timing.

This kit also includes a steel M4 lock nut (castle nut) for secure mounting and a QD end plate for sling integration. The internal geometry and spring alignment work in unison to reduce mechanical noise and keep counterweights centered under cycling stress.

Important Compatibility Note: The MK2 Recoil Mitigation System is designed specifically for AR-15 receivers and must be used with the BCM MK2 buffer, receiver extension, and rifle-length M16 action spring included in the kit. Standard carbine buffers, carbine springs, or non-MK2 extensions are not compatible and may cause weapon malfunction or damage. Due to the extended length of the MK2 extension, some mil-spec collapsible stocks may not fully collapse to the rear. Most common stock models remain functional but may sit slightly forward from fully closed.
