The Battle Arms Development WORKHORSE 16″ Complete AR-15 Upper is a ready-to-run upper assembly built around the versatile 16-inch AR-15 configuration. Chambered in .223 Wylde, it combines compatibility with both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition with a full-length 15-inch M-LOK handguard, complete bolt carrier group, and Battle Arms Development RACK ambidextrous charging handle.

This 16-inch WORKHORSE upper is well suited to general-purpose AR-15 builds where barrel length, handguard space, and broad ammunition compatibility are priorities. The 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel uses a durable nitride finish, 1:8 twist rate, and carbine-length gas system, providing a practical foundation for range rifles, defensive carbines, training setups, and other full-size AR configurations.

A 15-inch WORKHORSE free-float M-LOK handguard extends nearly the full usable length of the barrel, giving shooters substantial mounting space for lights, sling hardware, bipods, hand stops, and other accessories. The free-float architecture also keeps accessory pressure off the barrel while maintaining a slim, modern handguard profile.

The forged 7075-T6 upper receiver features M4 feed ramps and a hardcoat-anodized Black finish. This complete configuration also includes an M16-profile bolt carrier group and RACK ambidextrous charging handle, eliminating the need to source those major components separately.
