The Battle Arms Development WORKHORSE 10.5″ Complete AR-15 Upper is built around a compact barrel and handguard package for AR configurations where reduced overall length is a primary consideration. Chambered in .223 Wylde and compatible with both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition, this complete upper combines a 10.5-inch barrel, 9.5-inch free-float M-LOK handguard, bolt carrier group, and RACK ambidextrous charging handle in a ready-to-install assembly.

The short 10.5-inch barrel creates a markedly more compact package than the 16-inch WORKHORSE upper, making this model better suited to appropriately configured AR pistols and registered short-barreled rifle builds. The barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel, treated with a durable nitride finish, and uses a 1:8 twist rate.

A carbine-length gas system and low-profile gas block are paired with the compact barrel configuration. Surrounding the barrel is a 9.5-inch WORKHORSE M-LOK free-float handguard, providing accessory mounting space while keeping the front end short and maneuverable.

The forged 7075-T6 upper receiver incorporates M4 feed ramps and a hardcoat-anodized Black finish. Because the assembly includes both the bolt carrier group and Battle Arms Development RACK ambidextrous charging handle, it arrives substantially more complete than a barreled upper that requires those core components separately.
