The Aero Precision M4E1-T Complete Upper, 16.5″ 5.56 Mid-Length Gov Profile Barrel, 15″ MOD 4 Handguard – Kodiak Brown offers a premium foundation for AR-15 builders seeking performance, reliability, and a distinctive finish. This complete upper combines a 16″ government profile barrel with Aero’s robust MOD 4 handguard, delivering a rigid and modular platform ready for customization.
The 16″ barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel and finished in QPQ black nitride for enhanced corrosion resistance and longevity. Chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 twist rate, it accommodates a wide range of ammunition. The mid-length gas system ensures smooth cycling and reduced recoil, while the standard A2 flash hider on the 1/2×28 threaded muzzle provides effective flash suppression.
The 15″ MOD 4 handguard is constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in anodized Kodiak Brown. It features a full-length Picatinny top rail, M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, and four integrated QD sling sockets with steel inserts for enhanced durability. The proprietary ATLAS attachment system ensures a secure, low-profile connection to the upper receiver, minimizing deflection and maintaining accuracy under load.
The M4E1 threaded upper receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in matching anodized Kodiak Brown. It includes a threaded forward assist, pre-installed port door, M4 feed ramps, .250 takedown pin holes, and laser-engraved T-marks for consistent optic placement. The enhanced forging provides a billet-like appearance while maintaining the strength and compatibility of a forged component.
This complete upper is assembled by Aero Precision and test-fired to ensure proper function. It does not include a bolt carrier group or charging handle, allowing builders to customize their components to suit individual preferences.
