.223 Wylde bridges 5.56 NATO chamber pressure with .223 Rem throat geometry, delivering the best of both worlds: safe operation with mil-spec ammo and bench-gun precision with match loads. Our 16″, 18″, and 20″ Wylde barrels are cut from 416R stainless, hand-lapped, and rifled 1:8 or 1:7.7 to stabilize high-BC 75- to 80-grain bullets. SPR contours keep weight manageable while preserving a stiff harmonics profile; rifle-length gas systems soften recoil and reduce bolt speed for longer parts life. Every barrel ships with M4 feed ramps, a polished extension, and a minimum-spec gas port sized for suppressed or unsuppressed use with an adjustable block. Want the lightest tack-driver possible? Check out our fluted Wylde blanks—six-flute machining strips ounces without sacrificing rigidity, and QPQ finishes protect lands and grooves for thousands of rounds of consistent groups.
